Toluma Farms provides two kid goats (for 4-8 weeks) with animal husbandry curriculum for elementary schools to learn how to raise goats (Feb-May only). School must be equipped with land and housing for goats. Toluma Farms will bring the goats back into their herd at the end of the Spring Season.
School educational tours are scheduled throughout the year.
The Farm House at Toluma Farms is available to rent through Airbnb. This modern, country home sleeps 12 (14 including poet loft looking out over MA bedroom). Our hope is that by staying at the Farm it provides an educational opportunity for your group, learning about the day to day workings of a goat/sheep farm and creamery. The home, farm and creamery have provided the perfect back drop for work retreats especially for those who are engaged in the artisanal food world and/or those working in the environmental arena. It also is a wonderful place for family and friends to gather. The activities available in Western Marin and Sonoma are limitless (kayaking, hiking, eating, lots of eating, wine/beer/cider tasting, bike riding, beach…).
